about

~~This was the very first song I had written (ever) during the pandemic around May 2020. It released a great big weight off my shoulders that I didn't even realize I was carrying since highschool. This opened the floodgates that lead me on this path where I am able to express myself and share it with you all now~~

lyrics

Add some colour to your memory
I've been holding on too long
I've been holding on too long
Spending lunch breaks, up in a tree
Showed me your favourite songs
You always sung along

Everyone talks about missed connections
What about those who slip through your fingers
Though they live their memory lingers

I'm surprised it took as long as it did
You wanted to show me your
Favourite magic trick
You disappeared right out of my life
And took my heart with it
We were only kids, and it hurts to reminisce

Left me shaken by the loop you threw
You did it after school
You did it after school
But who am I really without you
Just an echo in the room
An echo in the room

Everyone talks about missed connections
What about those who slip through your fingers
Though they live their memory lingers

I'm surprised it took as long as it did
You wanted to show me your
Favourite magic trick
You disappeared right out of my life
And took my heart with it
We were only kids, and it hurts to reminisce

(Hurts to reminisce
Reminisce
Reminisce
Reminisce
It hurts to reminisce)
